EncounterMC is a youth group here at Marcellin for young men in Years 7, 8 and 9 who are keen to deepen their understanding of the values of St Marcellin Champagnat and Marcellin College. Students discern their individual call, as members of a Catholic and Marist community, to serve the will of God in their lives. These junior school students strive to ensure that the Marcellin community is positive and welcoming, with a special emphasis on ensuring that those on the margins are recognized and valued. The young men who join EncounterMC are supported to reflect on what it means to create the Kingdom of God on earth, through helping others “to love one another, as I have loved you” (John 13:34).

Advertised above is an initiative of EncounterMC that reaches out to the more senior members of our community who may like to learn a bit more about how to connect with family and friends through technology. Our young men from EncounterMC will facilitate an afternoon where senior citizens can come along and find support in creating email accounts and links with social media. These tools enable our senior family members to keep in touch with loved ones more easily. If you know anyone who may be interested in coming along, please share the details above with them.
