With the rise in the use of digital technology amongst teenagers and its negative impact on sleep and health the way in which to use technology for in a positive way can be confusing. Students, like all of us, need to be taught how to harness technology for good and use it to help rather than hinder. The Student Counsellors will be running a program for Year 10 students that will aim to set them up with good digital habits and guide their technology use. Spaces are limited so see details below:
In this four week program, students will use phone apps to assess their sleep, technology use and exercise. After analysing the statistics, students set a goal to change something in their lives which has been measured in the apps. They then reanalyse the statistics and discuss the difficulties of making changes.
Dates: Thursday 26 July and runs for 1 period per week for four weeks
