Welcome to the new term.

At the start of this year we shared a passage from the book, In the Footsteps of Marcellin Champagnat. It made reference to our role as teachers and leaders at Marcellin, challenging us to answer St. Marcellin’s call by educating young people and to ensure that we are providing the best education we can for the boys in our care.

To begin this term, we share with you another passage:

Following Marcellin, we encourage them (students) to always strive to improve, to give the best of themselves. We communicate our belief in their potential for growth and achievement. While providing for all, we give special attention to the personal capacity of weak and vulnerable students. We create learning situations where each one can succeed and is affirmed.

We refer to this passage as at Marcellin we are committed to every student having the opportunity to strive for the highest in all that they do. We are also equally committed in supporting students with their learning and ensuring they are developing the learning capabilities that will allow them to fulfill their potential as learners within a faith learning environment.

Throughout this term we will share with you work that is being undertaken to foster a culture of learning that promotes personal excellence in student learning and empowers students to be proactive in relation to their learning, and commit to achieving the highest standards possible in all that they do.
