In Term Three Year 8, 9 and 10 students
will begin working through the program selection process in preparation for 2020.
Year 7 students will also begin
considering their language choices for next year.
We believe for
your son to fulfil his potential, it is important that he is able to make the
most informed decision about his future pathway based on his strengths,
interests, further study options and possible career choices.
We also believe that supporting your son through program selection is a partnership and a number of key events are scheduled throughout next term to foster such a partnership between the College and families. Last week current Year 10 families participated in the Year 10 Parent Information Night to begin navigating pathway and subject options for 2020.
To assist with future planning please note the below dates:
- Wednesday 17 July – Polaris Depth Stage Parent Information Evening (current Year 8 & 9 families)
- Thursday 25 July - Pathways & Transition Expo (current Year 10 students and families)
- Friday 26 July – Polaris Depth Stage Expo (current Year 8 & 9 students)
- Thursday 22 August (12.50pm – 5.30pm) – Program Selection Interviews (current Year 8, 9 & 10 students and families)
Further details outlining the program selection process including these events will be made available at the start of Term Three. In the meantime, if students have any questions they are encouraged to see the relevant Learning Leader or Head of Learning.
