The National Assessment Program –
Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 students were conducted
in May. NAPLAN tests assess student knowledge and skills in Writing, Reading,
Language Conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and Numeracy. NAPLAN
results were released to schools on Wednesday 29 August. The results of the
tests provide information for students, parents, teachers and principals which
can be used to improve student achievement.
Individual NAPLAN reports will be distributed to Year 7 and 9 students over the coming week. Each report will describe your son’s particular skills in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and Numeracy. The report will also show how your son performed in relation to national minimum standards. These describe the minimum acceptable standards for students across Australia.
For more information about your son’s results please contact Liz Sullivan (Head of Learning 7-9) or visit the NAPLAN website at NAPLAN 2019 Summary Results
