If you have indicated on your son’s records that he suffers with Asthma or Anaphylaxis you will have received a reminder of action plans required and a management plan for your son via email.

Marcellin College takes Asthma and Anaphylaxis diagnosis very seriously, as they can be life threatening.

In order for the College to best support your son, we require the following documentation and action from you and him:

Asthma
  • A current Asthma Action plan, fully completed and signed by a GP. As has always been the case, this will need to be reviewed and provided annually.
  • Your son must carry his salbutamol (Ventolin) preventer and spacer with him at all times.
  • A reviewed and signed management plan at the College.
Anaphylaxis
  • A current Anaphylaxis Action plan, fully completed and signed by a GP, in colour. As has always been the case, this will need to be reviewed and provided annually.
  • An in date EpiPen
  • A management plan reviewed annually in consultation with the students’ parents.
The management plan differs from the action plan, as it lists strategies the College can do to prevent your son having an Asthma attack or Anaphylactic reaction while at College in our care. I have received some of these back but am still awaiting many.

With all students back on Monday could I please ask that you return these to the College with your son.
