All staff, students and parents have a unique User ID (username) that can be used to access IT services.

Before you can use the forgotten password retrieval service you must have set up your security questions.

To set up security questions [edit]

  1. Open the link to 'User Update': https://adupdate.marcellin.vic.edu.au/DirectoryUpdate/
  2. Login to ‘User Update’ with your username and password
  3. Once logged in select the ‘Password management’ tab
  4. Then select the ‘Security questions’ option
  5. Re-enter your password
  6. Select the security questions you would like to answer from the dropdown menus and complete the response
  7. Click the ‘Submit’ option

To retrieve a forgotten password [edit]

  1. Open the link: https://adupdate.marcellin.vic.edu.au/directorypassword/
  2. Enter your username and the unique code displayed
  3. Click Submit
  4. Answer the two security questions presented
  5. Click Continue
  6. Enter your new password
  7. Confirm your new password
  8. Click the ‘Submit’ option

To reset your password [edit]

  1. Open the link: https://adupdate.marcellin.vic.edu.au/DirectoryUpdate/
    1. NOTE: You MUST have set up your security questions before you can reset your password.
  2. Login to ‘User Update’ with your username and password
  3. Once logged in select the ‘Password management’ tab
  4. Then select the ‘Password Change’ option
  5. Enter your current password
  6. Enter your new password
  7. Confirm your new password
  8. Click the ‘Submit’ option
